The Budget Foundations series introduces supervisors to the core concepts of local government budgeting. Participants will learn how budgets are structured, how revenues and expenditures are tracked, how funds and account codes work, and how to read financial reports. The series also covers variance monitoring and current-year projections, helping supervisors manage public resources accurately, responsibly, and with confidence.

The Recruitment Foundations series introduces supervisors to the full recruitment and selection process. Participants will learn how to build and manage an effective interview panel, select appropriate panelists, create a positive candidate experience, ask meaningful interview questions, evaluate candidates consistently, and make fair, well-informed hiring decisions.
